PadlPair helps padel and pickleball players find nearby opponents, create fair games, and track ratings. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, and how you can control it.
Who We Are
PadlPair ("PadlPair", "we", "us", or "our") provides a sports matchmaking, rating, and community app. Google Play developer ID: 9114588133291165992. You can contact us at support@padlpair.com.
Who Can Use PadlPair
PadlPair is intended for users who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it.
Data We Collect
- Account data, including your phone number for sign-in and your chosen handle.
- Profile data, including avatar, home city, sport preferences, skill level, rating, division, and match history.
- Location data, including approximate and, with your permission, precise location so we can show nearby players, courts, challenges, and playable matches.
- Match and community data, including matches, scores, confirmations, posts, reactions, reports, blocks, follows, friends, challenges, and chat messages.
- Optional media, such as profile images or match proof photos you choose to upload.
- Device and usage data needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the app.
How We Use Data
- To create and secure your account.
- To show your player profile, ratings, matches, and local activity.
- To match you with nearby players and courts.
- To support challenges, chats, match confirmations, reports, and safety tools.
- To prevent spam, cheating, abuse, and unsafe behavior.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve PadlPair.
What Is Public
Your handle, avatar, city, sport, rating, division, win/loss record, posts, and visible match or rivalry information may be shown to other PadlPair users. Your phone number and precise location are not shown to other users. We show approximate distance or local context where needed for matchmaking.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us run PadlPair, such as authentication, hosting, database, storage, maps, notifications, analytics, and safety services, or when required by law.
Retention and Deletion
We keep data while your account is active and as needed to operate PadlPair, resolve disputes, enforce our rules, and meet legal requirements. You can delete your account in the app from Settings. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data unless we must keep it for legal, safety, or anti-abuse reasons.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can update profile information in the app.
- You can control device location permission from your phone settings.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, export, or consent withdrawal by contacting us.
- You can report content or users and block accounts from within the app.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted transport, access controls, and secure credential handling. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and respond to security issues promptly.
